What: The Perceptual Systems Laboratory at the ENS in has an increasing interest in perceptual confidence and uncertainty. As part of the “New Ideas” series of events in the Department of Cognitive Sciences, this workshop will bring together researchers interested in measurements and models of confidence and uncertainty on perceptual tasks in various modalities including vision and hearing.

The focus of the workshop is in showcasing the state-of the-art in the field and in fostering innovative ideas that extend the field and encourage collaboration. For this reason, the workshop will have around twelve short talks, followed by extensive discussion.

This workshop is supported in part by the Frontiers in Cognition program at the École Normale Supérieure, Paris.
